6 week Intro to wheel throwing
Saturdays 9-11 AM
This 6-week introduction to wheel throwing is perfect for students with no previous experience on the wheel or those who are interested in returning to pottery. Includes clay, firing and glazing for up to 7 pots, access to studio tools and open studio time. Students who complete this course will meet the requirements for joining the studio membership program. Ages 18 and up. Reservations are required. 6 student maximum. Wilkin is a Central Virginia artist/
educator who works with a variety
of media – ceramics, printmaking,
pastels, and often mixed media.
Wilkin spent 24 years in PA as a
secondary art educator, and served
the profession both inside and
outside the classroom – as
President of PAEA and as a
Regional Vice President for the
National Art Education Association
(NAEA), representing 13 states. She returns to Virginia (a
graduate of the University of Virginia) and continues to focus on
creating a body of work investigating the ever changing world
around us and learning from others.
